Floyd Mayweather Jr. has two fights remaining on his contract with Showtime, but appears to have one foot out the door already. In an interview with Fight Hype, Mayweather said he has his eye on doing mixed martial arts promotions in the near future.

"We believe in treating our boxers and our MMA fighters fair. I want a lot of MMA fighters to get in touch with you because Mayweather Promotions, I look forward to putting on my first MMA show also and having me some MMA champions," Mayweather said.

Recently Mayweather told ESPN that his fight career will end in 2015 once his Showtime contract expires. "My next fight is in May and my last fight is in September, so a year from now will be my last fight," he told ESPN.

"I only got two more fights left and after the next two fights I just want to build the Mayweather Promotions brand."

Mayweather's pitch is that with Mayweather Promotions, fighters will be treated and compensated fairly.

"Like I said before, Floyd Mayweather loves to think outside the box. We're not just one-dimensional. We're very versatile, and we have an open mind. When I get into the MMA game, I want them to make more money than they're making because from what I hear, they're not being treated fair."

Mayweather's boxing career is still not finished, however, and rumors of him finally fighting his nemesis Manny Pacquiao are once again rising to the forefront. Even his father Floyd Mayweather Sr. said he could see his son finally taking on Pacquiao.

"Man, I'm pretty sure that if don't nothing else happen, I'm pretty sure he's gonna get Pacquiao ... it's gonna happen. That fight's gonna happen. Trust me. That fight's definitely gonna happen. It's a fight for the world, man, right there," Mayweather Sr. told Fight Hype.

Floyd Jr. trashed that theory quickly though, and threatened to remove his father from his camp if he continues to speak on a possible Pacquiao bout.

"Well my father is totally wrong. Like I said before, we have people constantly being removed from the Mayweather Promotions team, Team Mayweather, and we also have people being removed from The Money Team. I want my dad to be with my team, but if he continues to go out there and speak on things that he has no knowledge about without communicating with me, then I must get a new trainer," Mayweather Jr. said in a follow up with Fight Hype.

He also took a swipe at Pacquiao's recent performances, and insinuated past successes weren't on the up-and-up.

"I'm just saying, when Pacquiao was sleeping, everybody was like, "Y'all crazy for trying to make that Mayweather-Pacquiao fight." You know what's so crazy? I just look at the situation like this, ever since Ariza left Pacquiao, he hasn't had a knockout. What a coincidence!"

Ariza, Pacquiao's former strength and conditioning coach, has been linked to steroid use in the past. Brandon Rios tested positive for a banned substance after losing to Pacquiao in China.
