Since the arrival Luis Suarez into the English Premier League controversy has accompanied the young Uruguayan's wonderful style of play. From biting players in the neck, to a racism scandal involving Manchester United captain Patrice Evra, to his constant diving, when Liverpool plays on this weekend, all eyes will be on him.

Suarez, 26, was on the short list of for EPL's best player award along with Juan Mata, Robin Van Persie, Michael Carrick, Eden Hazard and eventual winner Gareth Bale.

In a match leading up to the ceremony, Suarez repeated what he had once done in Ajax, and bit the arm of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic , resulting in a 10 match ban for the Red's No. 7.

In the days leading up the award ceremony, Professional Footballers Association chief executive Gordon Taylor said it would be "embarrassing" if Suarez were to win the award.

Roberto Mancini, however, defended Suarez, saying, "he made a mistake, he apologized to everyone, what do you want to do? Kill him?"

Suarez was booed twice during the ceremony, once when he was named second best player of the year, and again when he was put in the starting 11 dream team of the season.

The Italian coach, however, made his point clear, "I don't know Suarez as a man, but I know him as a player and this year he was the best one in the Premier League. He got his punishment, it's finished."

Suarez will miss the next 9 games for Liverpool--three this season and six in the upcoming season.
