Two clubs in the Western Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Portland Timbers and San Jose Earthquakes. Portland Timbers head coach Caleb Porter had this to offer ahead of today's league encounter (via MLS's official website): "All these guys have heart. Otherwise, we wouldn't have them on our team. We pick players for their talent, but we make sure they have the intangible qualities too."
"And I don't care what level it is," he added. "[The] best teams in the world, they have talent, best teams in this league have talent, but the difference is always the character as well in the locker room and all the intangible things, the mentality."
