Today at 1:00 p.m. ET the red-hot Dallas Cowboys (3-1) will host the in-state rival Houston Texans (3-1) on CBS in a matchup that can be live streamed by clicking this link. Cowboys fans can listen to the game on 105.3 The Fan, while Texans fans may do likewise on 100.3 The Bull.
The Dallas Cowboys have started hot this season, thanks largely to an improved offensive line and the top running back in the NFL through four weeks, DeMarco Murray. He's leading the league in yards per carry (5.4) and attempts per game (24), and the Cowboys offense has thrived. The focus on the run has helped QB Tony Romo, who had back surgery this offseason.
"I think what you find is that we are consistently doing the same things each week, and in the past we weren't able to do that," Romo said.
The Texans boast the league's top defensive player, defensive end J.J. Watt, but they've struggled against the run in 2014. If they plan on keeping Dallas from their fourth straight win they will need to figure out a way to bottle Murray up.
For the Texans the run is equally important, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.
"We have to keep making sure that we stick the run in there. We can't just throw it 55 or 60 times a game and get away with that," O'Brien said. "We've got to figure out how to run the ball better from a coaching standpoint and from a playing standpoint."
They may have to do it without running back Arian Foster, who played last week at less than 100 percent because of a hamstring injury. His lack of health showed-Foster ran for just six yards on eight rushes.
