Two clubs in the Eastern Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between D.C. United and Sporting Kansas City. D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid had this to offer ahead of today's league encounter (via MLS's official website): "KC is doing well to keep pressure on us. New England is coming hard and fast. We want the No. 1 spot and we're going to keep pushing for it. Now the goal is to get as many points as possible. Even if we go on the road, we have to get one point, we have to lock it down. We want to keep climbing the ladder, so we can clinch that No. 1 spot."

Player to Watch: With Perry Kitchen suspended due to yellow card accumulation, the defensive midfield responsibilities will shift toward Davy Arnaud. The 34-year-old is averaging 1.5 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per match.
