There is a sense of unhappiness backstage in the WWE following post-WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view bonuses for the company's talent after recent events.

There had been concern prior to WrestleMania XXX on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans that the bonuses for the biggest show of the year would be low due to the WWE Network launch taking away from pay-per-view revenues, but the bonus was eventually discovered to actually be better than expected.

According to Wrestlingheadlnes.com, payoffs are now in for the first pay-per-view events after WrestleMania and with the new formula, the bonus checks were described as "really bad."

The logical explanation for this is that the WWE is paying the talents their bonuses based on the company's pay-per-view revenue and the talents aren't getting anything for the WWE Network subscribers that are watching the events through that platform.

With the WWE Network subscribers taking away from pay-per-view buys, it in turn affects the talent's bonuses based on the fact that the WWE Network isn't factored in.

According to the report, there are apparently some talents that are being taken care of and others that have deals worked into their contract where they prevent something like the WWE Network affecting their bonuses for pay-per-view appearances.

While some upper-tier talents likely have this in their contract, that is not the case with the majority of the talents on the roster and has reportedly led to some unhappiness.

The WWE Network hasn't been doing too well and the WWE has made a lot of budget cuts in response to that and other financial problems the company has gone through in the past year.
