Two clubs chasing UEFA Europa League glory will do battle today in a match between VfL Wolfsburg and Lille. The group-stage match scheduled for 1 p.m. ET will be held at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 2.
Vfl Wolfsburg striker Ivica Olic had this to offer following the club's 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen at the weekend (via the Bundesliga's official website): "In training, I try to score goals like that all the time. So when the ball came in, I had to make the most of it."
"We've dropped a few points recently, so I was desperate for all three points here [in Bremen]," he added. "Now I'm very happy and I think the whole team is too. It'll definitely help us to progress. The defeat in Berlin a few days ago affected us, but we showed our character today and didn't really gift them any chance."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Tasked with defending the finishing abilities of Olicic is Lille's Simon Kjaer. The 25-year-old scored a goal in the club's Europa League opener, but his six interceptions and four clearances highlight his defensive prowess. More of the same will be required for Lille to escape the Volkswagen Arena with a result.
VfL Wolfsburg's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Benaglio - Jung, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez - Guilavogui, Gustavo - Vieirinha, De Bruyne, Perisic - Olic
Lille's Projected Lineup (4-4-1-1): Enyeama - Beria, Kjaer, Basa, Souare - Delaplace, Gueye - Origi, Marcos Lopes, Mendes - Frey
