Kobe Bryant promised not to tweet during Game 2 of the Los Angeles Lakers' first-round playoff series Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs after receiving criticism for his critique of players and coaches during the game. However, teammate Metta World Peace told ESPN on Tuesday that he wants the "Mamba Tweets" to continue.

"Kobe should tweet for Game 2 the whole time, every possession," Metta World Peace said after practice Tuesday. "Critique us, criticize us, chew us out. I'll tweet him back. I'll direct message him."

For the record, World Peace and Bryant will not be able to direct message one another because neither player is following the other. Bryant unfollowed all of his teammates in March, tweeting, "not sure why I'm following my teammates when I see them every damn day."

Bryant wrote Monday he would not tweet during Game 2 so fans could focus on the team rather than his insight. World Peace argued that he himself was more of a distraction than Bryant's tweets.

Dwight Howard and Steve Nash also commented about their teammate's social media usage during the game. Neither player seemed to be bothered by Bryant's tweeting and had no problem with it.

The Lakers will face the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 on Wednesday at 9:30 P.M. ET on TNT
