After dispatching Marcos Maidana for the second time in 2014, attention has turned to Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s next fight, which will happen in 2015. According to Mayweather's uncle Jeff, "Money" is expected to choose between two opponents-Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao.

While Mayweather has repeatedly stated in the past he won't be fighting Pacquiao unless he ditches his promoter Bob Arum, Jeff Mayweather noted the lack of viable options that warrant a pay-per-view matchup.

"To be honest, I can't really say who it is because I'm not one hundred percent sure. If they do it by names - which Floyd normally does - it may actually help the pay-per-view revenue, it's gonna possibly be Khan or maybe Pacquiao next for Floyd, because there's no other options out there in the weight class that make any sense," Jeff Mayweather said to OnTheRopesBoxing.com.

After defeating Maidana, Floyd Mayweather was asked about facing Pacquiao. He left the door open to the possibility, but came well short of sounding like it was imminent.

"I got to go back and talk to my team, I'm not ducking or dodging no opponent," Mayweather said. "If a Pacquiao fight presents itself, let's make it happen."

Khan's name has come up frequently as well, but Mayweather recently disparaged his resume.

"He [Khan] still got Danny Garcia problems and there's another guy over in the UK. No, not Kell Brook. Kell Brook is a good, little fighter. I was impressed. I'm talking about another guy that slept Amir Khan," Mayweather told Fighthype.com.

Garcia has an undefeated record that he can use to tout his own candidacy as Mayweather's next opponent, but after upsetting Lucas Matthysse on Mayweather's undercard vs. Canelo Alvarez, Garcia's fought two low-profile opponents and failed to increase his exposure.
