Currently holding 13 total draft picks, the NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers are believed by many around the NFL to be looking to trade up during Thursday's NFL Draft, Jason Cole of Yahoo! reported on Tuesday. San Francisco has a total of seven selections in Rounds 2 through 5 and may look to move up from their 31st overall selection, the second-to-last pick in the first round.

One general manager told Yahoo! that he believes the 49ers are interested in trading up from No. 31 overall to the 13th or 14th spot. Adding fuel to the fire, the 49ers simply don't have the roster space for more than a half-dozen rookie signings, which would further allow San Francisco to trade quantity for quality.

Around The League's Marc Sessler suggested that 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is interested in selecting West Virginia wide receiver Tavon Austin. Harbaugh has been at a high number of wide receiver workouts, despite recently acquiring Anquan Boldin to play alongside Michael Crabtree.

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah believes Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei could also be a target for San Francisco if he slides out of the top 10. Loutulelei is projected to be a top selection, but has experienced health issues that may make teams look past his talents.
