Europe won its third straight Ryder Cup on Sunday, and the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world Rory McIlroy did not hold back in his celebration of the victory.

Europe defeated the United States 16.5-11.5 at Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland and now has won the eight of the last 10 Ryder Cups. McIlroy got the Europeans off to a fast start, shooting 6 under on his first six holes to handily defeat Rickie Fowler.

With the win already in hand before play was officially over, McIlroy could barely contain his excitement, prematurely spilling champagne while Zach Johnson was readying to putt on the 18th hole:

After the Johnson birdied the hole to end the meaningless final match, the celebration was officially on. The Europeans popped champagne properly and posed with the Cup:

But probably the most interesting celebration came from McIlroy, as he posted a picture on his Instagram on Monday of himself with Scottish golfer Stephen Gallacher, according to Bleacher Report. The 25-year-old Northern Irish golfer, most likely inebriated, was shirtless while donning a red wig and a kilt:

"Got into the Scottish swing of things last night with Stevie G!" he wrote in the caption. This isn't the first time we've seen McIlroy let loose after a victory, as he filled the Claret Jug with Jägermeister after winning the British Open in July.

On the other side, the United States golfers didn't handle the loss very well. Phil Mickelson criticized captain Tom Watson's strategy and said they should have used Paul Azinger's method that helped the U.S. win in 2008.
