No. 13 South Carolina looks to add to their momentum as they take on SEC rival Missouri who is coming off a tough loss to the Indiana Hooisers.

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier has preached that the season wasn’t over for the Gamecocks after their Week 1 loss to Texas A&M, but he did say it would have been over if the team dropped last week’s game to Vanderbilt.

"We still believe we have a chance to have a good team this year. We're 3-1 and have won some close ones," Spurrier said. "We've played some pretty good teams. We didn't think Vandy was going to be that good, but they played their hearts out. Probably out-played us. Probably out-hustled us in a lot of areas.”

The Gamecocks stand at No. 13 in the country after three straight wins and this game was supposed to be the their next test against a ranked opponent. Missouri was No. 18 before losing to Indiana last weekend and dropping themselves out of the AP Top 25.

Missouri and South Carolina have split their four meetings and the Gamecocks have won two in a row in 2012 and 2013 to even the series. Missouri beat South Carolina in 1979 to open their series and again in 2005.
