Tonight at 8:25 p.m. ET the New York Giants (1-2), who picked up their first win of the season on Sunday, will go for win No. 2 against the Washington Redskins (1-2) at FedEx Field on Thursday Night Football. On Sunday the Redskins lost their top cornerback, DeAngelo Hall, for the season. They would likely have wanted Hall to suit up against the Giants' top wide receiver, Victor Cruz, who had his first big game of 2014 vs. the Texans.

Last week Cruz torched the Houston Texans defense for five catches, 107 yards and a touchdown. The score, his first of the season, was a 61-yard strike.

The man throwing the ball, Eli Manning, was sharp. He connected on 22 of his 28 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. More importantly for the G-Men, Manning had zero interceptions.

That's good news for the Giants, but bad news for a banged up Redskins defense. Aside from Hall, safety Duke Ihenacho was lost for the remainder of the season, and Brian Orakpo and Jason Hatcher both suffered injuries they'll have to play through on short rest.

"We're losing guys left and right," Orakpo said. "Football's a tough game. Look, if you've got kids and can't stand injuries, don't let 'em play football."

While Manning's turnover-free outing was a sight for sore eyes to Giants fans, the rushing of Rashad Jennings was equally impressive. On a short week with less time to prepare, Manning said viewers should be on the lookout for another helping of Jennings.

"Keep running and keep pounding," Manning said. "One point we ran the same play three times in a row. They were rolling. They liked it."
