Following the San Francisco 49ers second loss in as many weeks, wide receiver Anquan Boldin had plenty to say about the officiating and the amount of calls going against his team.

Coming off of a 28-20 Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears, San Francisco fell to the Arizona Cardinals 23-14 on the road Sunday and Boldin had a lot of negative opinions to share about the referees after it was said and done.
"For me, it's been obvious the last two weeks: The amount of calls that have gone against us and the amount of calls that we've gotten hasn't been close," Boldin said, according to ESPN. "Every week, it's the same thing -- send the tape in, the NFL just reports back, 'We made a mistake.' But at the same time, the crap cost us another game. At some point, they need to be held accountable."

Boldin said the refs need to "call it both ways" and was asked if the team needs to find a way to play through such adversity.
"You try to," said Boldin, who received an unnecessary roughness penalty for head-butting Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson, "but at crucial points in the game like that, how can you?"
The 49ers took two consecutive penalties on an Arizona drive late in the third quarter that cost the team 30 yards and eventually led to the Cardinals completing a 66-yard drive for a touchdown that wiped out San Francisco's one-point lead and gave Arizona a 20-14 advantage it wouldn't relinquish.
"We've got to do a better job -- as coaches and players," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said, "of not getting those penalties."
The 49ers were coming off of a franchise-worst 16-flag game in Week 2 against the Bears and they drew nine flags for 107 yards in Week 3 while Arizona was flagged five times for 36 yards.
Boldin is still looking for his first touchdown of the season after being targeted six times on Sunday and having receptions on each of them for 36 yards. On the season, Boldin has 16 receptions on 21 targets for 169 yards.
Whether the referees have anything to do with their struggles is up for debate, but the 49ers are off to a 1-2 start after making it to the NFC Championship Game in each of the last three seasons.
It doesn't get any easier for San Francisco as it hosts the unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) this Sunday night at Levi's Stadium.
