WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is expected to be released from the hospital Friday and amid rumors that he should be returning to television soon, "The Nature Boy" has been added to WWE events next month.

Rumors On 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Possibly Returning To The Ring

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Flair is likely to be released from the hospital Friday after reportedly undergoing minor surgeries on his stomach and the WWE has now advertised him for the company's live events in Mexico City next month.

Flair was slated to appear on NXT Takeover II: Fatal Four Way last Thursday to introduce the debuting KENTA, who is going under the ring name Hideo Itami, but the WWE had to pull him from the appearance due to his health issues.

Flair's daughter Charlotte successfully defended her NXT Women's Championship against Bayley on that event as well.

Flair was then pulled from Tuesday's SmackDown tapings where he was booked to serve as a special guest referee and was then taken out of his planned appearance at Night of Champions this Sunday due to the issues that kept him hospitalized.

Flair has been rumored to return to WWE television soon and there has been some speculation that Charlotte may get called up to the roster to give the Hall of Famer a regular on-screen role as the WWE has failed to find something for him to do regularly.

There were rumors that Flair wanted to work with Dolph Ziggler but it was shut down over the fact that the company wasn't planning to push Ziggler, though it seems to be a contradiction as Ziggler has since won the Intercontinental Championship.

There were also reports that Flair might work with The Miz -- who is feuding with Ziggler over the title -- but the company has opted to give him a heel Hollywood gimmick and pair him with Damien Sandow.

While it remains to be seen what his full-time role will be, it appears as though "The Nature Boy" could be returning to WWE television soon.
