WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon is reportedly the driving force behind John Cena being booked very strong heading into his rematch against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions on Sep. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, McMahon has been drilling WWE creative about booking Cena in a strong fashion in order for his fans to believe that he is still in the fight against Lesnar and so that they don't give up on him and think he is a lost cause.

Cena returned to Monday Night RAW a few weeks back and dominated the entire Wyatt Family in what was reportedly an organized storyline by McMahon in order to make Cena look good.

According to the report, several people backstage voiced their opinions that Cena shouldn't look so dominant -- especially over an established group like The Wyatt Family -- but McMahon wouldn't change his mind as he wants fans to believe that Cena has a chance at Night of Champions.

Lesnar hasn't appeared on WWE television in the flesh since the Aug. 18 episode of RAW, but he has been in a few vignettes and there are plans for him and Cena to confront one another one last time on Monday's go-home edition of the flagship program just six nights before Night of Champions.

Lesnar has been booked as an unstoppable monster as he ended The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX back in April and then went on to beat Cena in dominant fashion at SummerSlam on Aug. 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Lesnar bludgeoned Cena with 16 German suplexes and hit one final F-5 en route to winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship fresh off of ending The Streak.

It's "The Beast" vs. the face of the WWE when Lesnar and Cena battle one more time for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Sept. 21.

If McMahon's latest moves are any indication, expect Cena to look dominant heading into the show.
