There were reports that WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan will not need a second surgery and now it seems that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion could return to action in less than three months.

Sean O'Haire's Cause Of Death Revealed, WWE Makes Statement

It was previously reported that Bryan's wife Brie Bella revealed during media appearances for Total Divas, which returned for Season 3 last Sunday, that Bryan will not be needing a second surgery after he underwent a procedure on his neck in mid-May and lost feeling in his right arm.

The initial reports were that Bryan may be back by Survivor Series on Nov. 23 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis while there were reports that he may be out for three months. The WWE believes that Bryan could return in less than three months, Wrestlingheadlines.com reports, and the rumors about him not needing surgery appear to be true.

Bryan underwent the surgery just over a month after he defeated Triple H in the opening match at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans and then went on to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Randy Orton and Batista, which was a defining moment in his career.

Bryan was reportedly slated to carry the title into SummerSlam, where he would lose it to Brock Lesnar and have a rematch with him at Night of Champions, which emanates from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Sept. 21.

With Bryan's injury, the WWE decided to vacate the title and they gave it to John Cena at Money in the Bank in June. Cena has since taken Bryan's spot in the feud with Lesnar, who won the title from him at SummerSlam on Aug. 17 after ending The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania in April.

Bryan underwent the procedure -- which at the time was slated to be a minor operation -- due to damage to his neck that he accumulated over years of wear-and-tear that he put on his body. Bryan is expected to tone down his in-ring style upon his return.

It remains to be seen when Bryan will be back in a WWE ring, but it appears as though he is marching closer and closer to a return.
