There have been reports that Batista may not return to the WWE due to the success of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy summer blockbuster movie, and it appears more and more likely that "The Animal" won't be back in the squared circle due to him being given more movie roles.

Daniel Bryan Possible To Return For Survivor Series

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Marvel Studios is restructuring Batista's contract and it will see him make more money based on the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, which was released last month and features Batista as "Drax the Destroyer."

The pact will reportedly net Batista more movies for Marvel as well as he is now slated to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the third Avengers movie, where he is expected to have an even bigger role. The third movie won't come out for a long time since the second one is scheduled for release in May 2015.

John Cena Possibly Takes A Shot At The Undertaker On RAW

According to the report, people in Hollywood don't want Batista to be involved with wrestling, and that mixed with his frustration in the WWE could mean that he will not be returning. The report indicates that Batista's people feel he didn't get what he was promised in the WWE and that the company dropped the ball by not letting him get himself over with his own ideas.

It is said that Batista does want to return, but he may stay away due to all of the other projects that are sure to come his way after being involved in a hit and while he has been in talks to return to the WWE, the squared circle is second to movies now.

Batista has reportedly been offered a role to star in the Kickboxer remake along with UFC star Georges St. Pierre and he also has other offers coming in.

Batista was given a substantial amount of money to return to the WWE in January where he was booked to win the Royal Rumble upon his comeback. It has been reported that the plan was then to have Batista win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX.

Batista didn't get over as well with the crowd upon his return and that mixed with the groundswell of support from wrestling fans for Daniel Bryan led to the WWE flipping the script and adding Bryan to the main event, where he eventually walked out of New Orleans with the gold.

"The Animal" was reportedly upset over not getting what he was promised, but he worked with the company for the next two months after WrestleMania before he "quit" the WWE on the June 2 edition of RAW in order to promote Guardians of the Galaxy.

It was reported that Batista would be back around SummerSlam on Aug. 17 in Los Angeles, but the event came and went without involvement from "The Animal." Now, it's uncertain if Batista will ever return to the WWE with his movie career taking off.
