Italy's head coach Antonio Conte had this to offer ahead of today's European qualifier (via Football Italia): "I have many emotions, but they include great joy and happiness. It is the first qualifier and we want to do well. I also expect a good performance. I hope that you will see a team that can play football with the desire to win, regardless of who we play."
"Norway are a tricky team," he added. "Compact and attentive in defense. They are a team to be handled with care; we have to have respect for everyone. We go into the field with a competitive spirit, intensity."

Player to Watch: Italy's Ciro Immobile proved to be effective in Italy's last friendly with the Netherlands. The 24-year-old is yet to open his Bundesliga account with Borussia Dortmund, but did finish his 2013 campaign in Torino with 22 goals and three assists.
