Two clubs in the Western Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between Chivas USA and the Seattle Sounders. The first-division clash scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET will be held at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles and can be live streamed here.
Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey had this to offer head of today's league encounter (via MLS's official website): "I feel like we have the same conversation every week we play at home. Most teams sit back and it opens up in the second half. In an ideal world, if we can open the game up in the first half and get some goals, I think it makes the game easier for you. It's something that we'll continue to work on, but the most important thing is the three points and getting two wins in a row and trying to keep going from there."

Player to Watch: Stymying the counter-attacking style of the opposition today is Seattle's Osvaldo Alonso. The 28-year-old enters today averaging 3.5 tackles and 2.3 interceptions per match.
