TNA wrestler and former WWE Superstar Matt Hardy took to Twitter to share his opinion of today's WWE product and he believes the root of the problem is a lack of quality storytelling.

Hardy deleted the first tweet of a three-tweet observation on the wrestling business, likely because it had to do with WWE specifically and he is under contract with TNA.
"I love #WWE & respect the company," Hardy began in the deleted tweet. "WWE gave me SO much-But it drives me crazy when they insult viewers by force-feeding them absurd stories."

Hardy then added two other tweets to make his point, and those likely weren't deleted because they were directly about wrestling in general and not just the WWE. Hardy turned to pop culture and hit drama television shows as to what wrestling should strive to mirror when making its storylines.
"I LOVE pro wrestling. In 2014, w/ shows like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, True Detective etc, wrestling storytelling on TV has gotta step up," Hardy tweeted.
He continued in another tweet: "i.e. Walking Dead is outrageous fiction, but consistent & has continuity within its parameters. Viewers lose themselves in the WD universe."
Hardy got his start in the WWE in the 1990s and helped revitalize the company's tag team division and ushered it into the new millennium alongside his brother Jeff Hardy, Team 3D (The Dudley Boys) and Edge and Christian.
Both Hardy brothers are now TNA talents, but they still seem to have respect for the WWE.
Matt Hardy has been a polarizing figure throughout his career, but he seems to be coming from a smart place when talking about the storytelling factor in today's professional wrestling.
