No. 5 Milos Raonic of Canada falls in the fourth round of the U.S. Open as No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 8 Andy Murray advance into the tournaments quarterfinals.

Raonic and Japan’s Kei Nishikori played a five-set marathon that lasted until 2:26 a.m. on Tuesday. Nishikori came out on top at the end 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (6), 7-5, 6-4 and Raonic gave nothing but praise to his opponent.

"His foot speed was the most probably difficult part," Raonic said. "He was taking the ball very early, controlling the center of the court. He was keeping himself in a lot of situations where someone might be out of position. He was getting himself in good position and giving himself good opportunity to swing at the ball properly.”

Tuesday’s action will have No. 2 Roger Federer taking on No. 17 Roberto Bautista Agut at 7:00 p.m.
