After withdrawing from a UFC championship fight due to weight-cutting issues, Renan Barao's reputation within the company took a major hit. It's hard to figure out what's next for the former bantamweight champion, but it's certain that he won't be getting another title shot anytime soon.

Barao was supposed to have a rematch with T.J. Dillashaw, the only man Barao has lost to since 2005, but pulled out of the fight just a few hours before Friday's weigh-ins. Barao reportedly passed out and hit his head while cutting weight.

Dillashaw retained his bantamweight title on Saturday at UFC 177 with a fifth-round knockout of Joe Soto. After the event Barao was still on a lot of people's minds including UFC president Dana White, who said Barao will be returning home to Brazil without a paycheck.

"There's no excuse for what he did," White said at the post-fight media scrum. "There's no excuse for not making weight. But he paid for it. He hurt us, he messed with the show, but, that kid didn't make a paycheck, he's going home with no money. He's going home without a dime. He just paid for a camp, and who knows when he's going to fight again."

White said that Barao definitely needs another fight before getting back into title contention, but even if he wins a title shot won't be guaranteed.

"I'm not saying one fight, I'm just saying he's going to have to fight somebody else," White said. "He might have to fight more. We'll see how it plays out."
