Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and WCW icon Bill Goldberg has spoken in the past about possibly coming back to the squared circle, but recently he discussed another WCW icon joining WWE -- Steve "Sting" Borden.

Video: Sting's DVD Intro Leaked

Goldberg appeared on The Turnbuckle Weekly with Chuck Carroll for CBS Atlanta and spoke about Sting's new involvement with the WWE. Sting said he'd like to wrestle The Undertaker, if he's not retired, or Triple H at WrestleMania 31.

While Sting has said he wants to wrestle a match, Goldberg said it appeared as though Sting was just dipping his toes into the water and wasn't fully committed, which was kind of similar to what happened to Goldberg when his DVD was released last October. Sting's DVD is set to come out on Sept. 23.

Update On Jake 'The Snake' Roberts Going To The Hospital

"It's a guy like Sting. It's a guy like me that makes decisions not based upon wrestling logic, but based upon individual needs and desires," Goldberg told the program. "There's a lot that plays into these things. It's taken him this long to be a member of the WWE. He's surely not going to make a hasty decision about anything."

Goldberg also touched on the possibilities of Sting wrestling a match.

"You never know what WWE is doing. You never know what any of these guys are doing," Goldberg said. "You don't know if they're publicizing it to ramp up for an in-ring return or an appearance of if they're just hinting at it so that they can sell more video games. You just never know."

Goldberg, who was reportedly in negotiations with Triple H about a WrestleMania XXX appearance that never materialized and has said he wants his son to see him wrestle at least once, also spoke about making appearances in the Independent circuit.

"I obviously look at the roster before I choose to attend one of these, which plays a huge role in whether I do it or not," he said. "For the most part it's a good time."

It remains to be seen if Goldberg will ever return to the WWE after leaving the organization a decade ago in 2004, but it seems as though Sting -- who has never wrestled a match in the WWE -- may be closer to having another match than Goldberg.
