The New York Jets have put trade talks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers regarding all-pro cornerback Darrelle Revis on hold after the Revi's MRI on Monday confirmed he's ahead of schedule on his rehab, sources have told ESPN. The Jets, who began voluntary workouts Monday morning, would examine their star conrerback for the first time since an October surgery for a torn ACL in his left knee before continuing to explore a trade, sources told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.

Revis was examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York by Dr. Russell Warren on Monday and received positive news, a source told ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini. Revis was cleared by Warren to begin running without restrictions.

Revis reported to the Jets' facility for the start of the offseason program. The star cornerback confirmed to NFL Network last week that he will attend the voluntary practices in order to avoid losing his workout bonus in his contract worth $3 million.
