Thirty-two of Europe's most-storied clubs have qualified for football's most-storied club competition. Now, all 32 anxiously await their future. The 2014-15 UEFA Champions League draw scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET will be held in Monaco and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Soccer Plus and Fox Deportes.
Ahead of today's draw, a total of four pots have been concocted, with each containing a total of eight clubs. Each group will be formed by selecting one club from each pot. There is, however, one caveat: No two clubs from the same country can be placed in the same group.
All four pots are seeded below:
Pot one: Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Chelsea, Porto, Real Madrid.
Pot two: Basel, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Manchester City, Paris St-Germain, Schalke, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St Petersburg.
Pot three: Ajax, Athletic Bilbao, Bayer Leverkusen, CSKA Moscow, Galatasaray,Liverpool, Olympiakos, Sporting Lisbon.
Pot four: Anderlecht, APOEL Nicosia, BATE Borisov, Ludogorets Razgrad, Malmo, Maribor, Monaco, Roma.
The possibilities for multiple groups of death are endless. A feasible dream would see Real Madrid, Paris-Saint Germain, Manchester City and Roma in one group, while Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Monaco would be in another. That, of course, would open the opportunity for the "Group of Minnows," seeing Benfica, Zenit St. Petersburg, Ajax and Ludogorets battle it out for knockout round qualification.
Regardless of the draw, all 32 clubs will be chasing the same glory Real Madrid managed to capture just three months ago.
