Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock will be returning to the lineup for South Africa after taking a break for the third ODI against Zimbabwe last week. Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn are both back in the lineup for South Africa after resting for the three ODIs against Zimbabwe. However, Vernon Philander and Beuran Hendricks have both been ruled out of the game with due to injury. Kyle Abbott could step in as a replacement. JP Duminy and David Miller will be key to providing runs from the bottom of the order. Ryan McLaren will also be important to South Africa's success.

South Africa has won three of its last four series against Australia.

"This is the pinnacle of cricket, you want to play against the best in the world," Duminy said. "Australia are number one in the world and play a good brand of cricket but they also haven't played much in the last few months. We probably do have the advantage in terms of match practice."
