It was reported this week that Daniel Bryan is being advertised for the WWE's European tour in November and while it seemed like there was some optimism about Bryan possibly returning, it appears he'll be in a non-wrestling role.

Two Title Matches Likely For Night of Champions

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that despite the fact that Bryan is advertised for the event, the WWE is going with the idea that Bryan will not be wrestling. Bryan will likely be there to do some sort of in-ring promo or ringside angle, but he is doubtful to actually wrestle at the shows.

The reason for Bryan being added in a non-wrestling role is because there was a feeling that the WWE needs all of the star power that it can possibly get on the European tour and decided to schedule Bryan as an added attraction for the slate.

The matches for the European tour include Rusev vs. The Big Show and Seth Rollins vs. John Cena on one set of shows and Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns and Kane vs. Dean Ambrose for the others.

Bryan may be undergoing a second surgery after he had a procedure on his neck back in mid-May and hasn't regained full feeling in one of his arms since the operation.

Bryan has been weighing his options and recently said if he does need surgery he'd like to get it done as soon as possible while doctors haven't decided the best course of action.

There were rumors that Bryan may need Tommy John surgery on his arm, but it appears as though there wasn't much truth to that as Bryan still hasn't opted for a second surgery. His original procedure came just over a month after he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX in April.

Bryan was forced to relinquish the gold, which was won by John Cena at Money in the Bank on June 29. Cena held the title until he lost it to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam just over a week ago. The Lesnar vs. Cena program overtook a planned feud between Bryan and Lesnar for SummerSlam and Night of Champions.

Bryan spoke about his recovery and his wife Brie Bella being the focal point of major storylines recently with The Miami Herald.

"That's the frustrating part. It's been great because Brie has been such an integral part of the storylines the last couple of weeks. So that's been fun," Bryan said. "I actually don't have much free time since I'm doing so much physical therapy. ...It's hard because I don't have a timetable of when I'm coming back. Say if I get another surgery, it's going to be another three months."

Bryan also said he would like to return as soon as he can because a lot of things have changed already in his absence.

"Three months ago in WWE it was different than what it is right now, so it's hard to tell [who I would be working against when I return]. I don't get too down," he said. "This kind of issue has happened to a lot of people with nerve problems. The nervous system is so crazy and complex. The weirdest part is the lack of strength in my arm. So I do get mildly concerned that it won't come back, but I'm pretty positive."

It remains to be seen if and when Bryan will undergo another operation, but for now it seems as though he'll be a part of the November tour in a non-wrestling capacity.
