Multiple teams are reportedly interested in New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon, who was placed on revocable trade waivers by the team ahead of Sunday's MLB waiver trade deadline.

The Mets placed Colon on revocable trade waivers, which provides the team with three different options. New York can work out a trade with any team that claims Colon, pull Colon back from waivers after he is claimed, making him ineligible for a trade until the winter or, if Colon goes unclaimed, the Mets can negotiate freely with any club on a deal.

There is another less likely option that the Mets could dump Colon's entire salary on a claiming team and get rid of him without making an actual trade.

MLB.com reports that teams that are interested in acquiring Colon's services include the Los Angeles Angels and Dodgers, the Oakland Athletics and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Angels lost Garrett Richards for the season after he had to undergo knee surgery, and they could look to add Colon to their rotation for the stretch run to the playoffs.

The Angels lead the Athletics by one game in the AL West, but they will be the last team eligible to claim Colon, who played with them from 2004-07, due to the Halos boasting the best record in baseball.

Oakland is also interested in a reunion with Colon after he went an astounding 18-6 with them in 2013 along with a 2.65 ERA. The A's have a solid rotation with the additions of Jon Lester and Jeff Samardzija this summer, and could add Colon to the starting corps while simultaneously blocking L.A. from landing him.

As for the Dodgers, having seen many key pieces of their starting five go down this season, L.A. could look to bring in Colon to shore up its rotation during its race for the NL West division crown against the San Francisco Giants, who they currently lead by 4.5 games.

The Pirates are 1.5 games out of wild-card contention and are chasing the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central, so it is possible that they will make a play for Colon.

Colon, 41, is 12-10 this season with a 3.32 ERA and will make $11 million in 2015.
