Arsenal sanctioned a one-month loan deal for highly-rated youngster Chuks Aneke to League One side Crewe Alexandria.
"Young midfielder Chuks Aneke has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra on a one-month loan deal," the club said in a statement on their official website.
"Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Chuks well for his time at the Alexandra Stadium with Steve Davis' newly-promoted team."
Aneke made quite an impression during Arsenal's preseason tour of Asia and Arsene Wenger rates the attacking midfielder pretty highly.
Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud has spoken of the importance of having Laurent Koscielny at Arsenal. New signing Giroud and Koscielny played for the same team - Tours FC - in the second division of the French League, before both the players hit it big and eventually became French internationals.
"It's important for me to have Laurent in the team because it's easy for me to integrate and to speak with other players," Giroud told Arsenal Player.
"I've known him for four years. We played together for Tours in Ligue 2 and I spent my time with him and another friend of ours. We played a very good season and we were not far away from being promoted to Ligue 1. It was unbelievable for Tours.
"He's a very good player. I had a good time with him on and off the pitch and I'm very happy to join him at Arsenal. It's a nice story for us.
"Sometimes we go to a French restaurant together. It's very good, very nice, the French food. English food? Not so bad.
"Sometimes we go out with our wives. I like spending time with him."
Giroud also praised Koscielny's defensive as well as leadership qualities on the pitch. "I'd say he's one of the best in the Premier League," the former Montpellier striker said. "I think he can continue to (get even better).
"He's very respectable and serious in his work. You can trust him, and his behavior on the pitch is important. I like when a guy concentrates and is serious.
"He is like a leader on the pitch, by his behavior. He is important for the national team now, and he is a very important player for Arsenal. He is a very good player and a very good guy."
