Coming off an impressive victory on Saturday, UFC middleweight contender has his sights set on a grudge match with Luke Rockhold. The two have been going back and forth for the better part of a year and now that Bisping is healthy, they might get the chance to settle their differences in the octagon.
Bisping battered Cung Le before finishing him by TKO in the fourth round of the main event of UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau, China on Saturday. After his victory, he wasted no time calling out Rockhold in his post-fight interview.
"There's an idiot named Luke Rockhold who doesn't stop talking about me," Bisping said. "I think he's got the hots for me, to be honest. I'm going to beat Luke Rockhold and then I'm taking the title."
In the post-fight press conference, Bisping continued his verbal assault of Rockhold.
"The guy's been calling me out constantly," he said. "After every fight he talks about me, he tweets about me 20 times a day. As I said, I think the guy's obsessed with me. And why not? I'm a good looking guy. It's the year 2014, if that floats his boat, good for him."
Rockhold has scored impressive finishes over Costas Philippou and Tim Boetsch earlier this year. He has been rumored for a fight with Lyoto Machida, though nothing has been confirmed yet. UFC president Dana White said in the press conference that a Rockhold-Bisping fight is a possibility.
"Whoever they want me to fight, I'll fight," Bisping said. "I've always been that guy, I've never turned down an opponent. And if that lanky streak of p*ss wants to get it on, I have no problem."
