Japan and South Korea lived up to the hype and was one of the best games in the entire tournament. The question now is: can Mexico take advantage of the situation and beat Japan when they are at their lowest?
Japan and Maxico met in the Little League World Series already and Japan came away with a 9-5 victory. Mexico benefits greatly from Japan’s situation considering that ace Takuma Takahashi is not eligible to pitch in this game. This will not be a deciding factor however as the Japanese team topped Mexico without Takahashi last time.
Mexico is coming off a dominate 11-1 mercy rule win against Venezuela and will need every little advantage they can get in order to compete with Japan. In the end, Japan is just too much right now and it seems like a forgone conclusion that there will be an all Asia International Championship game.
The winner of this game will play South Korea on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
