Two clubs in opposite conferences of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Seattle Sounders and San Jose Earthquakes. The first-division clash scheduled for 10 p.m. ET will be held at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and can be live streamed here.
A slumping Sounders side are presented with another opportunity to turn its 2014 season around. Four of the club's last six matches have ended in defeat. With a visit from the Earthquakes, the time to return to the win column is now.
"We have a chance to do a lot of special things this year and we have to recommit ourselves and rededicate ourselves to wanting to do that," head coach Sigi Schmid said (via MLS's official website). "We're in a [US Open Cup] final, we're in the hunt for the Supporters' Shield and certainly the playoffs loom at the end of the season. We can make this a very memorable season, but that's in our hands."

Player to Watch: Seattle's Obafemi Martins has been pivotal in 19 appearances with the club this season. The 29-year-old carries eight goals and an average of 1.7 key passes per match.
