In the aftermath of Brock Lesnar dominating John Cena and defeating him Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross took to his blog on Jrsbarbq.com and discussed what's next for Lesnar, Cena and Roman Reigns.

Triple H Discusses Night of Champions, SummerSlam And Dean Ambrose

"Who's next for WWE Champion Brock Lesnar? Lots of people are wondering...," Ross wrote.

Ross went on to say that Cena will likely regroup to battle Lesnar again while dropping other names of Superstars that may take on the WWE Champion down the line should he survive Cena in their rematch at Night of Champions next month.

Kurt Angle Talks About A Potential WWE Return

"I say don't count out a 'regrouped' John Cena which makes great sense to me," Ross blogged. "Others could include to varying degrees Cesaro, Big Show, Mark Henry and a surprise entrant/possibility that I talk about on the Grande Podcast this week."

There have been rumors that the WWE is planning on having Reigns win the Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania 31 to defeat Lesnar for the gold while others think Reign's push could come sooner. According to Ross, it is too soon for the WWE to put the most prestigious belt in the company on Reigns, who has only been a singles star since June.

"For those wondering, [it's] WAY too early for Roman Reigns to get into the WWE World Title hunt IMO," he wrote. "He's a work in progress but has a great foundation on which to build. Building the Perfect Beast takes time which some younger, less patient fans don't want to hear."

Lastly, Ross said it will be exciting to see what Cena has in store for Lesnar when the "Cenation" leader makes his way back to Monday Night RAW next week.

"Nonetheless, this is the perfect opportunity for John Cena to return to RAW next week and perhaps give us a peek into what he may change in his presentation and approach the next time he fights Lesnar which will be at the Night of Champions in September," he blogged. "Cena does not need a wholesale [makeover] but some subtle tweaks would be timely."

Lesnar and Cena will go toe-to-toe one more time at Night of Champions on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
