There were rumors circulating following AJ Lee's Divas Championship loss to Paige at SummerSlam Sunday night that she might be leaving the WWE, but now it appears as though the speculation isn't true.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers For Friday

While some websites have speculated that Lee may be leaving the company to spend more time with her husband CM Punk, who left the WWE back in January, F4WOnline.com reports that there has been no mention of those rumors within WWE.

There was some speculation that Lee would look to distance herself from the WWE now that she's married to Punk and in the aftermath of reports that things were "worse than ever' between Punk and the WWE when his contract officially expired in July.

Main Event Announced For Night of Champions, More Matches Rumored

Lee took a hiatus from the company after WrestleMania by dropping the title to a debuting Paige on the April 7 edition of Monday Night RAW. Lee then was off of television for two months as she moved in with Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, and the two were married in mid-June.

Lee then returned on the June 30 edition of RAW and won the title back from Paige before then losing it back to her at SummerSlam this past Sunday.

Many people believed that Sunday may have been the last hoorah for Lee, but she has appeared on RAW and was at Tuesday night's SmackDown tapings, with all indications pointing to her feud with Paige continuing.

One of the many pundits who believed that Lee may leave the company was WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who said in his predictions for SummerSlam that he believed Lee was about to start distancing herself from the company.

"I would predict Paige to regain the title and we see AJ Lee distance herself from the WWE...that's my guess," Ross said on the Ross Report podcast on Podcastone.com when picking the winners for SummerSlam prior to Sunday.

Punk walked out on the WWE the day after January's Royal Rumble due to being burned out from traveling and unhappy with the way he was being booked. Punk has said in recent interviews that he was "never ever" returning to the ring while he did some work for Nerdist at Comic Con and said it was the "most fun he had in a long time" on Twitter.

While Punk seems to be definitely done with wrestling, it appears as though the speculation on Lee is up in the air, but she isn't leaving the company quite yet.
