Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan will remain the CEO of the Texas Rangers, according to ESPNDallas.com. The two sides went through productive talks the past two weeks and officially announced their agreement for Ryan to stay with the team Wednesday.

Ryan and Rangers co-chairman Ray Davis and Bob Simpson issued joint statements that said all sides are focused on bringing a World Series championship to Arlington. The team's announcement ends weeks of speculation about whether the former Rangers pitcher would leave the club after losing his title of team president last offseason.

Texas promoted general manager Jon Daniels to president of baseball operations and Rick George to president of business operations on March 1. Ryan was in attendance for each of the team's six home games over the weekend through this week, including Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

"In my role as CEO, I am focused on working closely with ownership and with Jon Daniels and Rick George to build on the success of the past five years and to bring a championship to Arlington," Ryan said in a statement released to ESPN.
