Japan and Venezuela finish up the second day of international match ups for the Little League World Series at 5:00 PM EST.

Both teams host undefeated records (Japan 4-0 and Venezuela 5-0) and are looking to maintain their hot streak into this game. Venezuela won all five of their games in a matter of eight days, combine that with a plane ride to Pennsylvania and fatigue could start to set in.

Japan is no stranger to success in the Little League World Series as their nine titles is only second to Taiwan. Patrick Wilson, who serves as Little League International's senior vice president, spoke about the pride that comes with having a Japanese team in the tournament and their reputation for winning.

"Teams from Japan have appeared in the Little League Baseball World Series since 1962, and the country of Japan has been represented as its own region beginning in 2009," said Wilson

Japan topped Venezuela in last years tournament, but mont of the players on the current Venezuelan roster were part of that squad. Japan is also the two-time defending Little League World Series champion and won was the winner in 2010 and runner-up in 2011.

This is one of the more interesting games of the opening round and would have been better served as a later round matchup.
