Two clubs in the opposite halves of the Ligue 1 table will do battle today in a league match between SM Caen and Lille. The first-division clash scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET will be held at the Stade Michel d'Ornano in Caen and can be live streamed here free.
"Focus," that was the keyword from manager Rene Girard following Lille's aggregate win in UEFA Champions League qualifying. "We had the opportunities to kill the game [against Grasshopper]," Girard said (via Soccerway). "But it wasn't to be and afterwards we were on the verge of conceding a goal and doubting. We made a good start to the second half, then they hit the post and Vincent [Enyeama] made a stop. We can do better. It still needs work. There has not been a lot of continuity in the game. I think over the two games, [victory] is deserved."
"The lesson to be learned is that Europe is not simple," he added. "We must remain vigilant at all times and learn how to handle this kind of matches."
Fast forward to the club's season opener against Metz. A scoreless draw that boasted a mere three shots on goal showed a continued lack of focus. The club will look to rectify that against a newly promoted Caen this afternoon.

Player to Watch: Caen's Lenny Nangis was pivotal in the club's 3-0 victory over Evian in Week 1. The 20-year-old had a Man-of-the-Match like performance, finishing his shift with an assist and six successful take-ons.
