The 2013 Liga BBVA season is in the books. Now, Sevilla return to the pitch with hopes of embarking on a league-title run in 2014. The club is continuing its summer tour this afternoon and will face Italian outfit Sampdoria. The battle for the Ramon de Carranza trophy scheduled for 4 p.m. ET will be held at the Estadio Ramon de Carranza in Cadiz and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on beIN Sports.

Sevilla's 2014 campaign is already underway, with the club dropping it's first competitive match of the season to Real Madrid. The 2-0 loss in the UEFA Super Cup, however, did not deter a newly acquired Iago Aspas. His goal remains reaching top fitness and force the hand of his manager, Unai Emery.

"We knew the Super Cup was going to be difficult because we were facing a team that was practically made on the playstation," Aspas said in an interview with Estadio Deportivo (via Inside Spanish Football). "We knew we were equal to them or better, but they scored off two mistakes and when Cristiano has three shots and scores on two of them, there's very little you can do. Now, we need to turn the page and keep working for the start of the league."

"My goal is to get to the first La Liga match in top fitness and end it with a victory," he added. "There are 23 of us and we all want to play, but I need to make things difficult for the manager."

Aspas concluded by discussing the 2014 Ramon de Carranza trophy, the team's final preseason match before the season starts.

"This is the last test before the first week of the season. The teams are competitive. We need to maintain our level of fitness, keep the peace with the team and maintain a good atmosphere in the dressing room."

Sevilla will look to pass their final test by finally bringing silverware back home.
