Canyon Lake of the Midwest and Mountain Ridge of the West cap off the first day of the Little League World Series with a night game.
Nevada has sent a team to the Little League World Series for the first time, but it could be a short stay as they take on a solid South Dakota team Thursday. South Dakota has the advantage in this one as they host one of the most proficient offenses in the Little League World Series and had an extra days rest.
This game should be the highest scoring of the day as both teams can light up the scoreboard, but look for Canyon Lake to get the better of Mountain Ridge. Canyon Lake averaged 12.3 runs per game in their 6-0 run through the regional round of the Little League World Series.
South Dakota could be a considered a dark horse candidate to represent the United States and win the entire tournament outright. The Little League World Series continues Friday with another packed slate of games.
