What: Little League World Series (Jackie Robinson West Vs. Lynnwood Pacific)

When: Thursday, August 14 at 3:00 PM EST

Where: South Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Live Stream: ESPN

Jackie Robinson West of the Great Lakes and Lynnwood Pacific of the Northwest kick off the start of the United States section of the Little League World Series.

Both squads enter the Little League World Series a perfect 6-0, but something has to give in the opening round of the tournament. This is only the second time in history that Jackie Robinson West Little League program has qualified for the Little League World Series, the other being in 1983.

Chicago native and Los Angeles Dodgers star Carl Crawford said he has called the team and said he would love to do anything he can to help their World Series bid,

"Yeah, I just saw them on TV last year," said Crawford. "I just called to see if they needed anything, and I come to find out they needed a little help, so I just tried to help where I could. I've been rooting for them all year."

The Northwest won six regional games by three runs or more while the Chicago squad has had only one close game among their series of blowout wins. This one should be fun to watch as both teams have the ability score runs in bunches.

Jackie Robinson West carries all the momentum and should come out of this one 7-0 for the whole tournament.
