It has been rumored that Alberto Del Rio is headed to the AAA promotion in Mexico this Sunday and it appears as though WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio could follow him once his time with the WWE is up.

Conflicting Reports On Flag Match Stipulation Between Rusev And Swagger At SummerSlam

Former WWE Spanish announcer Hugo Savinovich, who now works as an announcer for AAA, said in an interview yesterday that he believes Mysterio will be headed to the promotion once he solves his current contract dispute with the WWE.

It has been reported that the WWE automatically picked up an option on Mysterio's contract without his consent due to a clause in WWE contracts where if a talent misses time, the company can automatically renew the deal based on the time that is owed. Mysterio has missed a lot of time over the years due to various injuries.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers For Friday

Mysterio is reportedly currently engaged in a dispute with the WWE as he's looking to wind down his time with the company after accumulating injuries over the years. Savinovich believes that Mysterio is going to end up in AAA once his time in the WWE is over.

Savinovich also confirmed that Del Rio will be on hand at AAA's TripleMania XXII event on Sunday which goes head-to-head with WWE's SummerSlam event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Del Rio was released from the WWE last week after allegedly slapping a WWE.com employee over a perceived racist comment toward him. The employee was reportedly told to clear his plate at catering and said behind Del Rio's back that it was his job to do it, poking fun at his Hispanic heritage.

Word got back to Del Rio, and he reportedly responded by slapping the employee very hard in response, which led to his dismissal. The employee hasn't been reprimanded by the WWE yet, according to reports, but he may end up facing punishment and even losing his job for the comment.

The WWE has been steadfast that Del Rio was in the wrong and even posted a tweet that said fans should be angry at Del Rio for his actions, in a post that was re-tweeted by Triple H.

Del Rio's role for Sunday is unknown as he likely has a 90-day no-compete clause from the WWE that would prohibit him from wrestling and could disallow him from appearing on-screen at the event, but it has been confirmed he'll be in attendance.

Del Rio will likely begin wrestling for the promotion once his clause is up, and Mysterio could be following closely behind depending on how his dispute with the WWE ends up.
