Chasing a return to the English Premier League, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to make changes ahead of this afternoon's cup contest. Keeping fresh legs across multiple competitions remains a priority. The Cardiff City boss sees the club's visit to Coventry as an opportunity to give players craving minutes the opportunity to earn them.

"It's a great chance for them to get more minutes," Solskjaer said (via BBC). "We need to give game time to a few because we didn't have too many games in preseason. At this point of the season, some players need game time more than others and it's a competitive game. I'll make sure the ones who missed out in preseason can get a few minutes."

When asked about today's opposition, he added: "Coventry are a big club themselves. I played many times against them myself. They've been successful in the cup before, so we know it's going to be a tough game."
