The police released a statement concerning the alleged incident and stressed that this is simply an allegation at this point.
“On August 10, 2014, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the Bellevue Police Department received an allegation of an assault and personal property damage at a downtown Bellevue apartment unit. The incident was alleged to have occurred at 2:30 a.m. on August 10. The female victim alleged that the suspect was Marshawn T. Lynch. No domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation. The case has been assigned to a detective and is an active investigation. The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved. No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time.”
Lynch attended practice on the day of the incident and nothing has been made of the allegations since. This is the latest incident that has Lynch’s name tied to it as he was also allegedly involved in a fight in a club a month ago.
Lynch reported to Seahawks training camp after a short holdout and was given a small raise and more money upfront, but was not given the raise he was demanding. Lynch is currently the No. 9 overall player in fantasy football as well as the No. 6 running back. If Lynch misses any time for the Seahawks, Christine Michael (No. 126 Overall; No. 47 RB) becomes a Low RB2/High Flex in standard leagues.

The 28-year-old running back is still a High RB1 by all accounts, but the Seahawks have played with the idea of moving toward a running back-by-committee approach to keep Lynchs’ legs fresh. Lynch is one of the riskier picks in the first round, but his past performances with Seattle speak for itself.
Lynch’s availability would also have negative effects on Russell Wilson (No. 123 Overall; No. 15 QB) as defenses would likely key in on him until Michael proves himself a threat on Lynch’s level.
