Popular mixed martial artist Jonathan Koppenhaver, better known as “War Machine,” is on the run from police after being named the primary suspect in the assault of porn star Christy Mack and another man. Despite being on the lam, War Machine has been tweeting about the incident and painting himself as a victim.
I'm not a bad guy, I went to surprise my gf, help her set up her show and to give her an engagement ring and ended up fighting for my life.

The cops will never give me fair play, never believe me. Still deciding what to do but at the end of the day it's all just heart breaking. — War Machine (@WarMachine170) August 11, 2014

War Machine is no stranger to trouble, having been convicted of assault in 2010 and serving jail time in 2011 and 2012. He last fought for Bellator last year; in his time there he was 1-2 and has since been released following the most recent charges against him. "We have a zero tolerance policy at Bellator when it relates to any form of domestic violence," Bellator president Scott Coker said. "After learning of this latest incident involving Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine, Bellator is releasing him from his promotional contract." Mack, War Machine’s girlfriend, will be releasing her version of events soon but said on Twitter that the MMA fighter did not engage in some kind of life-and-death battle, and that none of the blood at the crime scene belongs to him.
I will be releasing my statement in the morning to put many rumors to rest. — Christy Mack (@ChristyMack) August 11, 2014
@KenPavia none of the blood at the crime scene is his. None.

Mack was hospitalized in the attack.
