Two clubs chasing the 2013-14 Ligue 1 title will do battle today in a league match between Stade Reims and Paris-Saint Germain. The first-division clash scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET will be held at the Stade Auguste Delaune in Reims and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on beIN Sports.
Having captured a second consecutive Ligue 1 title last season, recapturing a third remains the priority for Paris Saint-Germain. Manager Laurent Blanc, however, is wary ahead of today's opener against Reims. World Cup contributors Ezequiel Lavezzi, David Luiz and Thiago Silva are just a few of the reinforcements not readily available for him this afternoon.
"This month is going to be strange because we have so many players coming back at different times and not everyone is in the same physical condition," Blanc said (via the National). "We have done a lot of tiring physical work. The games in August will be difficult, but we are not worried."
Fortunately for Blanc, enough of his championship roster is on hand to dispatch a Stade Reims side that finished in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table last season.
