Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, who have fought four times in their illustrious careers, are far from buddies. However, Marquez didn't let that get in the way of giving a truthful opinion about Pacquiao's upcoming fight vs. Chris Algieri.

"He barely has a chance to win," Marquez said of Algieri's probability to earn a victory. "Algieri is strong and he's durable. He also has boxing ability as shown against Ruslan Provodnikov but he doesn't have the style to beat Pacquiao- who has great speed and power. I believe that (Pacquiao) can win by knockout."

Marquez, who defeated Pacquiao by knockout in the fourth fight between the two in 2012, was in the mix to face him a fifth time on November 22 but reportedly priced himself out by demanding a $20 million payday. Marquez then lost a close decision to Timothy Bradley before rebounding with a thorough pounding of Mike Alvarado.

Algieri's name was virtually unknown to most until he shocked Provodnikov at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and took his WBO light welterweight title. Despite the big upset, he's finding himself a major underdog yet again; this will be his first fight at welterweight in his young career.

Algieri doesn't seem to mind his chorus of doubters though, and certainly hasn't allowed them to infiltrate his psyche. "This is a very real fight. Mark my words. I'm coming in fully prepared, I'm sure Manny knows this and Freddie knows it as well. I'm coming to win this fight," Algieri told Boxingscene.com.

"I'm not here to get a payday, I'm not here just to fight Manny Pacquiao. I'm here to win this fight and I'm going be fully prepared on fight night."
