Two clubs looking to return to form will do battle today in a friendly between Chivas Guadalajara and AC Milan. The match scheduled for 9 p.m. ET will be held at the NRG Stadium in Houston and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on beIN Sports.
It's been an abysmal preseason tour for Italian outfit AC Milan. Unfortunately, it must continue on Wednesday against their Mexican counterpart, Chivas Guadalajara. Both suffering clubs are looking for a return to glory, but haven't shown the signs of one with their current form. Just don't tell Filippo Inzaghi. The Milan boss is seeing improvement in his side.
"I'm sorry for the result [against Liverpool]," Inzaghi said after seeing his team fall 2-0 (via Goal). "But it was the response I was expecting. There was a good reaction. I don't remember our goalkeeper making a save, whereas Simon Mignolet was called into action. We have to continue with this spirit and desire. For the lads, I can only say that we must continue, and when we face teams in Italy, our character will come out."
"We're starting to see traces of the Milan I want," he added. "Especially in terms of determination. There is a good spirit and we have to work from there. This team needs to shake off some of the fear and anxiety from last season and I think this game can help give a lot of confidence."
If Milan are looking for true confidence, a victory over Guadalajara would certainly provide it.
Tactical Preview
