Washington Redksins quarterback Robert Griffin III set the single-season jersey sales record on Monday for top-selling NFL player jerseys, according to NFLShop.com. Exact sales numbers from April 1, 2012, to March 1, 2013 were not revealved.

Griffin's No. 10 jerseys beat out Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's jerseys, which sold the third most in a single year trailing only Griffin and Brett Favre's 2009 Minnesota Vikings jerseys. The always popular Manning may have seen an increase due to the league's new Nike apparel deal and joining a new team since being drafted by Indianapolis in 1998.

Recently retired Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis ranked third on the 2012 NFL fiscal jersey sales list. He was followed by Super Bowl opponent Colin Kaepernick, who finished fourth, and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who finished fifth.

Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck finished sixth and was followed by Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and teammate Eli Manning. The 49ers' Patrick Willis rounded out the top 10.

The 49ers finished first in team merchandise sales on NFLShop.com, edging out the Super Bowl champion Ravens. San Francisco's previous best since the league started monitoring sales in 1979 was second in 1994 and '95. The New York Giants, Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers rounded out the top five.
