Brian Scalabrine is a fan favorite in Boston and was often cheered wildly during his playing days for the Celtics. Scalabrine loves the city just as much and he showed it in an open letter to Boston to tell them that he is coming home.

Scalabrine does his best LeBron James impression as he explains where he has been the past few years and why it was hard for him to leave Boston. He released the easy to the public and said that his heart was always with the city.

Unfortunately, Scalabrine isn't returning to Boston to be a player, but as a Comcast SportsNet announcer.
“I'm doing this essay because I want an opportunity to explain myself uninterrupted...and gather some great press based on another recent NBA signing...in almost the exact same way. ...
I may have a press conference, and I am definitely having a party. And all of Boston will be invited. And when we are done, we will still have a few months before we have to get to work. ...
I'm not promising a championship. I know how hard that is to deliver. We’re not ready right now. No way. Of course, I want to win next year, but I'm realistic. I’m only a broadcaster - what could I really do? ...
I'm ready to accept the Scallenge. Boston, I'm coming home.”
In his time with the Celtics, Scalabrine was known by many names, including White Mamba, Veal Scalabrine and The Ginger Ninja, but now Boston’s favorite son is returning home for another stint in the city he loves.
